FTE - Hybrid position. First 6 months onsite and then 3 days from home and 2 in office.
Facility located near Queens.
This is very unique opportunity as the client currently works with Athenahealth and will assist the candidate in learning this EMR. The candidate must have a minimum of 6 years experience in another Ambulatory EMR in order to be considered.
Job Summary:
Support administrative and clinical systems by analyzing workflows, assessing system needs, planning, designing, testing, and implementing software solutions. Coordinate with I.S. teams, end-users, and vendors to optimize system performance, train users, and troubleshoot issues.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to include template updates, order sets, profile creation, access, and integrations.
- Train physicians, residents, and clinical/non-clinical staff.
- Coordinate system testing, implementation, upgrades, and optimization.
- Analyze clinical workflows, assess system impact, and recommend improvements.
- Assist in software selection, testing, and rollout.
- Support system modifications and enhancements to improve efficiency.
- Provide post-implementation support and troubleshoot software issues.
- Act as a liaison between I.S., vendors, clinical departments, and end-users.
- Collaborate with Nurse Informaticists and Report Writers on workflow optimization and reporting needs.
- Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Travel to multiple sites as needed.
- Maintain strong written and verbal communication for documentation, vendor interactions, and user support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred.
- 2+ years of AthenaHealth experience OR 6 years of a different EMR, project management skills, and knowledge of Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Preferred: Project management, presentation software experience, and inpatient healthcare facility experience.
