Clinical Nurse Specialist -School Nursing Team

Job Overview An exciting opportunity for a motivated and energetic nurse who enjoys working with children and young people with a variety of complex health and learning needs. The role evolves working in a special school setting, alongside our education colleagues to ensure children and young people are given fair equal access to education. Responsibilities Band 6 nurse to join a team of mixed skill nurses supporting children and young people in a school for CYP aged between 4-19 years old.

Plan workload and pre‑empt the needs of the children on your caseload. Give tracheostomy care, feeds via jejunostomy, gastrostomy, safe administration of medication, airway maintenance using suctioning, etc. Deliver care for the CYP while they are in their lessons and ensuring their education is as uninterrupted as possible.

Work well within a team. Have good safeguarding awareness. Qualifications Good clinical skills as well as willingness to learn new skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
