Clinical Nurse II: Float Pool, 36 hrs/week, Nights

Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system that integrates a renowned hospital with a state-of-the-art medical college, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Nurse II for our night shift Float Pool. This role requires a versatile nursing professional adept in adaptively providing patient care across various clinical settings, ensuring the highest quality of health outcomes. The selected candidate will be instrumental in bridging the gaps and enhancing the continuity of patient care during night shifts across multiple departments.

Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to patients in various units based on the current need. Adjust quickly to dynamic health care settings and patient needs. Participate in patient assessments and the planning and implementation of appropriate nursing interventions.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize care coordination and patient outcomes. Maintain a high level of clinical competence and knowledge, including staying updated on the latest health safety protocols and clinical practices. Document patient care services accurately and securely in compliance with hospital standards.

Strong clinical skills and proficiency in patient assessment. Excellent adaptability to changing environments. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Capability to handle stress and make decisions under pressure. Proficiency in using medical software and electronic health records. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
