Clinical Nurse II: ED Observation

Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Nurse II for our Emergency Department (ED) Observation unit. This role is pivotal in offering specialized nursing care for patients who require extended observation and monitoring in a fast-paced emergency environment. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary medical team to facilitate comprehensive treatment planning. Implement physician orders accurately and ensure all therapeutic interventions are carried out promptly. Educate patients and their families about conditions and treatment plans.

Maintain patients' health records and ensure that confidentiality and nursing best practices are upheld. Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient and team interactions Detail-oriented with robust analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient in using medical software and electronic health records Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
