Join Albany Medical Center's dedicated team as a Clinical Nurse II within our Orthopedics department, particularly in the elective orthopedics unit. This role involves providing advanced nursing care for patients undergoing elective orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacement and spinal surgeries, collaborating closely with a specialized team of healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and foster a supportive environment. Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for orthopedic patients pre and post-operation. Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other medical staff to develop care plans. Monitor patient recovery and respond to any complications. Educate patients and their families on postoperative care and recovery expectations. Maintain patient records and ensure all care standards and safety measures are met. Participate in continuing education and research opportunities to stay updated with the latest in orthopedic care.
