Job Description

Are you passionate about education and committed to helping young people succeed? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences for senior secondary students at our Ourimbah campus.

This is an initial four-week casual position commencing in November and continuing into December 2026. The role will work Monday to Thursday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with the potential to transition to permanent full-time employment in 2027, subject to ongoing operational requirements and demonstrated suitability.

Depending on your qualifications and experience, you may teach Stage 6 Mathematics, Sport, Recreation and Leisure, or Agriculture.

You will be responsible for:

  • Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the NSW Education Standards Authority curriculum.
  • Delivering high-quality learning programs within your relevant teaching area.
  • Supporting the delivery of Vocational Education and Training programs, where applicable.
  • Assessing student learning and providing timely, constructive feedback.
  • Supporting the academic, social and emotional wellbeing of students.
  • Maintaining accurate assessment, attendance and reporting records.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to support curriculum development and whole-school initiatives.
  • Participating in parent-teacher interviews, school events and professional learning activities.
  • Promoting child safety and maintaining a safe, inclusive and respectful learning environment.

What you’ll bring to the table

You are an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about student success and committed to creating an engaging, inclusive and supportive learning environment. You will bring:

  • Recognised teaching qualifications
  • Current NESA accreditation (or ability to obtain)
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching secondary school students.
  • Sound knowledge of the NSW curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong commitment to student wellbeing and child safety.
  • A current Class C Driver Licence.
  • Experience teaching Stage 6 Mathematics, Sport, Recreation and Leisure, or Agriculture
  • Delivered VET programs and have a qualification in TAE
  • Experience in trauma-informed educational settings.
  • Experience working within an independent school environment.
  • Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • A willingness to contribute to co-curricular and whole‑school activities.
