About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for a Civil Engineer with experience in civil construction and construction quality assurance to join a major mining project in South West WA.

Working across tailings facility raise projects and other projects across the site's various dams, you will support construction quality assurance across a range of civil scopes, including earthworks and piping.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Civil Engineer looking to develop their CQA experience and break into the mining industry. The contract role offers the potential for ongoing work for the right candidate.

With exposure to a broad range of construction scopes, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn from three Principal Engineers leading the project and gain experience across a major project. You will also play an important role in construction reporting and client liaison.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing CQA support across tailings facility and dam projects


• Conducting proactive site inspections


• Reviewing test certificates and quality documentation


• Liaising with client and contractor teams


• Monitoring earthworks and piping scopes


• Supporting construction certification documentation


• Preparing construction reports


• Identifying and addressing quality issues

About you

• A degree qualification in Civil Engineering


• Minimum 3 years' experience in civil construction


• Experience in construction quality assurance or quality control


• Strong understanding of civil construction processes and documentation


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills


• A proactive and hands-on approach to quality assurance
