Civil Engineer

Lead Group Ireland are currently recruiting for a Civil Engineer on behalf of a multinational engineering company working on a major renewable energy project in Meath.

This is a site-based position, located just off the M1, and offers the opportunity to join a major project within Ireland's growing renewable energy sector.

The Role

The successful Civil Engineer will work as part of the project team, supporting the delivery of civil works across a large-scale renewables project.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing and coordinating civil engineering works on site.
• Working closely with subcontractors, engineers and project management teams.
• Monitoring construction activities to ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
• Reviewing technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Supporting the planning and coordination of site activities.
• Monitoring quality and ensuring works are completed to the required standards.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues on site.
• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress to the wider project team.
• Ensuring all works are carried out in line with health, safety and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience as a Civil Engineer.
• Experience working across utilities, infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
• Relevant Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Strong site-based experience.
• Experience working with subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Good understanding of construction methodologies, drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Full EU working rights.
