About Us

Shri Hari Group is a premier real estate development firm based in Indore, specializing in the construction and development of state-of-the-art corporate parks, IT parks, and luxury residential projects. We are looking for an experienced and highly analytical Chartered Accountant to lead our finance, taxation, and project accounting operations.

Role Summary:

  • The Senior Chartered Accountant will serve as the financial backbone of our construction and real estate operations. This role demands a proactive professional who can seamlessly manage site-wise cost accounting, navigate complex direct and indirect taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax), ensure strict RERA financial compliance, and lead our regular accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Strategy

  • Prepare detailed cash-flow forecasts, feasibility studies, and financial projections for ongoing and upcoming commercial/residential projects.
  • Manage fund flows and liaise with banks and financial institutions for project funding, loan drawdowns, and repayment tracking.
  • Present monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports, highlighting project profitability and budget-versus-actual variances to the executive team.

2. Site Cost Management & Project Accounting

  • Implement strict project-wise accounting to track land costs, material procurement, labor, site overheads, and work-in-progress (WIP) inventory.
  • Verify and process contractor Running Account (RA) bills, track mobilization advances, and manage retention money and security deposits.
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition based on the Percentage of Completion Method (POCM) as per Ind AS 115 / AS 7.

3. Direct & Indirect Taxation (Income Tax, GST, TDS)

  • GST: Manage monthly/quarterly GST returns, ensure maximum Input Tax Credit (ITC) utilization, and navigate the specific GST rate structures (1%, 5%, 12%) applicable to under-construction commercial and residential properties.
  • TDS & Income Tax: Oversee the deduction and timely deposit of TDS on contractor payments, professional fees, and property transactions. Handle advance tax computations, corporate tax filings, and represent the firm during tax assessments or scrutiny.
  • Structure and manage the taxation aspects of Joint Development Agreements (JDAs) and landowner revenue-sharing models.

4. RERA & Statutory Compliance

  • Maintain strict discipline over RERA-designated escrow accounts, ensuring that 70% of buyer collections are utilized solely for project-specific construction and land costs.
  • Prepare financial data for RERA project registrations, quarterly progress updates, and mandatory CA certifications for escrow withdrawals.
  • Lead the finalization of balance sheets and coordinate internal and statutory audits.

5. Accounts Team Management & Daily Operations

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the day-to-day accounts team to ensure error-free bookkeeping in ERP systems (e.g., Tally).
  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, and vendor payment cycles.

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI).
  • Experience: Minimum 5โ€“8 years of post-qualification experience, specifically within the real estate, construction, or infrastructure sector.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong grasp of real estate accounting standards (Ind AS 115), MP RERA financial regulations, and complex GST/TDS frameworks.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel (advanced financial modeling), and government tax portals.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage an accounting team, collaborate with project managers on-site, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
