Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Career Counselor role based in Mumbai. The Career Counselor will guide students in identifying their strengths, interests, and entrepreneurial potential, and help them explore suitable academic, career, and business pathways. Day-to-day tasks include conducting one-on-one and group counseling sessions, facilitating career development workshops, and supporting students with goal setting and planning.

The role involves collaborating with faculty and program teams to integrate career guidance with entrepreneurship education, maintaining accurate counseling records, and contributing to student outreach and awareness initiatives. The Career Counselor will also stay updated on industry trends, emerging career opportunities, and entrepreneurial ecosystems to provide informed, relevant guidance.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in Career Counseling, Career Development, and Career Management.
  • Experience with Student Counseling and guidance in academic, career, or entrepreneurship contexts.
  • Strong Communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal and written communication, and the ability to build trust with diverse learners.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in educational institutions, training organizations, or youth-focused programs (experience with entrepreneurship-focused programs is an advantage).
  • Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple student cases, and maintain confidentiality and ethical counseling practices.
  • Familiarity with career assessment tools, employability skills training, and knowledge of current job markets and startup ecosystems.
  • Strong organizational skills, basic proficiency with digital tools (e.g., MS Office, online portals), and a learner-centric, inclusive approach.
