Hamelin‑Laie International School in Barcelona, part of Nord Anglia Education, seeks a dedicated teacher to inspire students aged 4 months to 18 years in a vibrant, culturally diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Teaching: Design and deliver engaging lessons that align with the department curriculum, the Teacher and Learning Charter, and assessment policy; deliver timely written and verbal feedback; maintain accurate attainment records; facilitate curriculum‑based trips and co‑curricular activities; prepare students for external examinations and counsel on option choices; support Academic Board meetings.
  
• Pastoral Care: Record attendance; liaise with relevant teams for support; manage break time and lunchtime duties; report concerns to the Safeguarding team; mentor older students as appropriate; uphold the Code of Conduct.
  
• Form Tutor Role: Act as Form Tutor, manage daily wellbeing time and assemblies, support student transition, and assist with CAS responsibilities.
  
• Parent Relations: Build trusting relationships through timely communication; prepare and attend parent conferences; provide regular progress updates; support the admissions team during open days.
  
• Learning Environment: Create safe, innovative, and inclusive classroom settings; manage classroom displays; report health, safety, or IT issues.
  
• Teamwork: Support Heads of Subject and Year in departmental planning and curriculum development; contribute to professional learning communities and share teaching resources.
  
• Professional Development: Commit to ongoing development, incorporating feedback from observations, data analysis, and student voice; stay current with subject matter and curriculum changes.
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Economics or related field – Essential
  
• Teaching qualification – Desirable
  
• Experience working in an international setting – Essential
  
• Experience with A Level, AP, IB MYP, IB DP, or ESO curriculum (3–5 years) – Essential
  
• Native or advanced level English – Essential
  
• Knowledge of Spanish – Desirable
  
• Demonstrable passion and detailed knowledge of subject area – Essential
