Business Systems Analyst (Downers Grove)

IT Business Systems Analyst We’re hiring a Mid-Level Business Systems Analyst to support a leading utilities organization. This role will focus on data analysis, reporting, and supporting operational systems tied to field service and customer operations. Location: Oakbrook Terrace, IL (5 days onsite) Duration: 12-month contract (strong potential for extension) Pay: $50–$60/hr Key Responsibilities Gather and document business and system requirements Analyze existing processes and identify improvement opportunities Develop reports and dashboards to support business operations Work with stakeholders across operations and IT teams Support testing, troubleshooting, and system enhancements Assist with data analysis and reporting tied to service orders and field activity Required Qualifications 2–5 years of Business Systems Analyst experience Strong SQL querying skills Experience with Power BI (report/dashboard development) Experience pulling and analyzing data from databases Exposure to Oracle CC&B (Customer Information/Billing systems) preferred Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset Microsoft certifications are a plus Team & Environment Supporting Distribution Operations (field activity & service orders) Collaborative team of ~12 analysts Fast-moving environment with hands-on work and stakeholder interaction
