The Opportunity We’re supporting a national training organisation as they expand their commercial team. The business works with employers across a specialist sector, providing government‑funded, work‑based training programmes that genuinely support workforce development. They’re now looking to appoint a Business Development Executive to generate new employer relationships and support learner enrolments.
This is a new business focused role with scope to learn, develop and grow alongside an experienced leadership team. What You’ll Be Doing Generating new employer relationships through structured outbound calling Speaking with business owners and senior managers to understand their workforce needs Introducing funded training and apprenticeship solutions in a clear, consultative way Managing your own pipeline of conversations, opportunities and enrolments Developing your knowledge of funded training, sectors and employer requirements Working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth learner journey What We’re Looking For This role would suit someone who: Has around 18 months’ experience in B2B sales, business development or a similar role Is confident picking up the phone and speaking with decision‑makers Is commercially curious and wants to improve their sales approach Responds well to structure, targets and feedback Is resilient, organised and willing to challenge themselves Takes pride in doing the basics well, consistently Experience in education or apprenticeships is not essential . The right mindset, professionalism and willingness to learn are far more important.
