Business Analyst (Fixed-term Contract)

Location: Melbourne CBD / Hybrid

Salary: Up to 140K + Superannuation

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a Consumer function on a max-term contract. You'll partner across business and technology teams to define requirements, shape solutions, and support delivery of business-critical initiatives that improve customer experience and operational effectiveness.

What you'll be doing

• Partnering with stakeholders across business and technology to gather, validate and prioritise requirements
• Translating complex needs into clear requirements, user stories and analysis artefacts
• Facilitating workshops, interviews, walkthroughs and discovery sessions
• Documenting as-is / to-be processes, including strong process mapping (BPMN)
• Supporting delivery teams through solution design, business readiness, testing and implementation
• Proactively identifying process improvement opportunities and driving outcomes

What you'll bring

• 5+ years' experience as a BA across technology and transformation initiatives
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, negotiation and communication skills
• Demonstrated capability in requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation
• Experience with user story mapping and persona-based requirements gathering
• Knowledge of BABOK tools/techniques (highly regarded)
• Comfort using AI-enabled tools to support BA activities (desirable/advantage)

Nice to have

• Experience in Telecommunications / Energy / Power / Gas / Electricity
• Exposure to Telecommunications BSS
• Background in large-scale enterprise and/or customer-facing environments
• Agile delivery experience across cross-functional product teams
