Job Description: Mastek is seeking an experienced and proficient candidate to lead end-to-end bid and proposal management for opportunities in the US region , working from our India offshore location. This role involves managing complex, multi-stakeholder bids (RFI/RFP/RFQ/EOI), coordinating virtual bid teams across geographies, and ensuring the timely submission of compelling, compliant, and high-quality proposals that maximize win probability. The Bid Manager will collaborate closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, Delivery, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to shape winning strategies, develop value propositions, and maintain a high standard of proposal content tailored to US clients and markets.

Key Responsibilities End-to-End Bid Management Own and manage the full bid lifecycle for US-region opportunities, from qualification to submission and handover. Analyze RFI/RFP/RFQ documents to understand client requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission instructions. Develop and maintain a detailed bid plan, including timelines, responsibilities, and key milestones.

Bid Strategy and Storyboarding Work with Sales, Account Management, and Solution Architects to define bid strategy, win themes, and differentiators. Facilitate storyboarding and solutioning workshops to align on approach, value proposition, and messaging. Ensure alignment of proposal content with client business outcomes, pain points, and industry context.

Content Development and Proposal Writing Coordinate and consolidate inputs from technical, delivery, finance, and legal teams into a cohesive proposal. Own some of the responses around boilerplate information, capabilities, case studies etc. in terms of writing the response content Draft, edit, and refine executive summaries, solution overviews, methodology, case studies, and other narrative sections. Ensure proposals are clear, concise, client-focused, and tailored to US market expectations and terminology.

Stakeholder and Governance Management Lead regular bid calls and progress reviews with cross-functional teams across time zones. Monitor government portals through incoming email adverts proactively to capture release of new opportunities / leads and share with respective sales team Manage internal governance processes, including bid/no-bid decisions, risk reviews, commercial approvals, and sign-offs. Collaborate with Legal and Finance to ensure commercial and contractual compliance with organizational policies.

Compliance, Quality, and Submission Ensure all proposals are fully compliant with client instructions, formats, and submission portals. Implement quality checks for accuracy, consistency, branding, and formatting. Coordinate on-time submission of bids, including electronic uploads and physical submissions where required.

Pricing and Commercial Support Work with Sales and Finance to support pricing strategies, cost models, and commercial structures. Validate that pricing, assumptions, and scope are aligned with the proposed solution and client expectations. Knowledge Management and Continuous Improvement Maintain and update a bid content library, including reusable templates, standard responses, and case studies.

Capture lessons learned from each bid and drive improvements in bid processes, tools, and content. Track and report bid metrics (win rates, cycle times, key trends) for continuous improvement. Client and Market Focus Stay informed about US market trends, procurement practices, and competitor positioning.

Ensure proposals reflect an understanding of US regulatory, compliance, and cultural nuances where relevant. Work closely with the sales and practice teams for the customer presentations, market engagements, research and even ad-hoc requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience. 6 to 10 years of experience in bid management, proposal management, or pre-sales roles, preferably in: IT services, consulting, digital transformation, or technology solutions. US or North American markets.

Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-million-dollar bids with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines. Ability to grasp technical, financial and legal information in the context of managing and delivering tenders Proficient knowledge of bid and proposal methodologies, including: RFI/RFP/RFQ response management Bid qualification and bid/no-bid processes Storyboarding and win theme development Skilled in written and verbal communication in English, with the ability to: Create clear, persuasive, and client-focused proposal content. Facilitate discussions and influence stakeholders at various levels.

Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Confluence). Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Comfortable working in overlapping shifts with US time zones and managing stakeholders across geographies.

Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Bachelors degree in related field. Experience working in or with US-based clients in sectors such as Public Sector, Private Sector, Healthcare, Financial Services, Retail, or Manufacturing etc. Familiarity with industry-standard bid methodologies (e.g., Shipley, APMP best practices).

APMP, Shipley or similar proposal and bid management certification. Experience using bid management tools or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar). Exposure to commercial models such as T&M, Fixed Price, Managed Services, and outcome-based pricing.
