Job Description

As a part of the HR team, you will be responsible for executing and improving core HR functions, maintaining compliance, and delivering exceptional employee support. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, close-knit professional environment and values the unique culture of a law firm.


Key Accountabilities:


HR Operations:


  • Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle for legal and business services professionals, from onboarding through offboarding.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date employee records and personnel files.
  • Prepare and manage employment-related documentation, including offer letters, employment contracts, NDAs, HR policies, and other key HR documents.


Compliance & Legal HR Support:


  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, bar council requirements, and firm-specific protocols.
  • Coordinate with partners on bar registration tracking, CPD (Continuing Professional Development), and other attorney-specific obligations.
  • Support internal audits and maintain proper documentation for legal and HR due diligence.


HR Systems and Data Management:


  • Administer HRIS systems; ensure data integrity and timely updates.
  • Generate periodic HR reports and dashboards for management.
  • Support system upgrades and implementation of new HR technologies.


Payroll & Benefits:


  • Coordinate with finance/payroll teams for accurate salary processing; manage attendance and leave tracking.
  • Administer benefits such as health insurance, wellness plans, and professional memberships.
  • Address payroll-related queries from staff and attorneys.


Process Improvement:


  • Support the HRBP and Talent teams with initiatives and performance reviews.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance HR efficiency.


Employee Engagement & Culture:


  • Support team building, well-being, and engagement initiatives that align with the firmโ€™s values.
  • Organize firm events, milestone celebrations, and professional development sessions.
  • Act as a trusted resource for staff, helping to foster a positive and inclusive work culture.


Desired Skills and Competencies:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong understanding of HR operations, payroll processes, compliance, and HR systems
  • Skilled in leveraging MS Office for data analysis, reporting, and creating presentations
  • Attention to detail while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a lean, fast paced, & agile environment.



Experience and Education:


  • Education: MBA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 4โ€“8 years of HR experience, with at least 1โ€“2 years in a legal/Law firm(preferably), consulting, or boutique professional services firm.
