WHO ARE WE: Instituted on August 16, 2016, Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Steel Limited mandated with the responsibility of executing CSR for Tata Steel. Location of Posting: Athagarh-Odisha

Purpose of the role:

The incumbent will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA), Natural Resource Management (NRM), and farmer institution development initiatives under Tata Steel Foundation programs. The role focuses on improving farm productivity, climate resilience, farmer incomes, and strengthening FPOs through sustainable agriculture and government convergence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct baseline surveys, resource mapping, and climate vulnerability assessments in project villages.

• Prepare village-level agriculture development plans and annual implementation strategies.

• Promote Climate Smart Agriculture practices including IFS, crop diversification, agroforestry, INM, IPM, and organic/natural farming.

• Implement soil health, water conservation, watershed development, rainwater harvesting, and micro-irrigation interventions.

• Mobilize farmers into FIGs, PGs, and FPOs, and support their governance and business development.

• Facilitate convergence with government schemes related to agriculture, horticulture, livestock, fisheries, and rural development.

• Organize farmer trainings, demonstrations, exposure visits, and capacity-building programs.

• Develop value chains, market linkages, agri-enterprises, and livelihood diversification opportunities.

• Liaise with government departments, KVKs, research institutions, NGOs, and other stakeholders.

• Monitor project progress, maintain MIS, and document outcomes, case studies, and success stories.

• Prepare project proposals, annual action plans, and technical reports.

• Ensure timely achievement of project targets and effective utilization of resources.

Work Experience: 0-4 Years of Relevant Experience

Minimum Qualification: Full-time Bachelor’s degree in agriculture (B.Sc. Agriculture) from a recognized institute.
