Job DescriptionApplications are invited for the following post: Assistant Lecturer in Spatial Planning (Specified Purpose Pro Rata) (Reference: 105a/2026) The successful candidate will be required to teach across a range of topics within the field of spatial planning and be able to teach in at least one additional specialist area from the fields of sustainable transport & mobility, or a cognate and relevant disciplinary specialisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development, delivery and quality assurance of programmes including curriculum development and liaising with students. A proven track record of research and scholarly activities and the ability to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students and contribute to the research output and scholarly activities of the School will be an advantage.
The ability to demonstrate good levels of engagement with industry, and be in a position to further develop this engagement, will also be an advantage. Hours of Work:This is a part-time post. In addition to teaching hours (up to 9 hours per week), attendance is required from Monday to Friday during the general working hours of the School and Faculty.
Location: The post will be based at one of the TU Dublin Campuses i.e. Aungier Street, Bolton Street, Grangegorman, Blanchardstown or Tallaght. Salary: The Assistant Lecturer Salary Scale is: โฌ47,572- โฌ 64,372 (pro rata) (New Entrants) Unless the arrangements set out in Circular Letter IT 1/2005 apply Closing Date:5pm (Irish Time) onFriday, 31 July 2026.
