Applications Engineer

Overview

Position: Application Engineer, 12 Month Fixed-Term. Location: Perth, AU. Job Type: Full-Time.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support across incidents, service requests, and problem investigations, with a particular focus on supporting Microsoft applications and related business platforms in line with ITIL v4 service practices.
• Troubleshoot application issues, support users and stakeholders, document solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement across the application support environment.
• Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and senior technical contributors to resolve issues efficiently, improve knowledge sharing, and deliver a consistent, high-quality support experience.

Experience

• Demonstrated experience in application support, systems administration, or business systems support roles.
• Experience supporting operational application environments, incident management, and service delivery activities.
• Exposure to Microsoft application support in a business environment; working with vendors or external service providers is well regarded.
• Working knowledge of ITIL v4 fundamentals or service management best practices is desirable.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant Microsoft or business application certifications would be advantageous.
• Exposure to Atlassian products, including Jira and Confluence, would be beneficial.
