Application Developer

Role We are seeking a highly skilled SharePoint / Microsoft 365 Application Developer to join our client’s dynamic team in Bristol. This is an initial three-month contract position with a high likelihood of extension, outside IR35 with flexibility on contractual arrangements. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain SharePoint Online solutions and ensure seamless integration within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

The role requires a proactive individual who can work independently in a fast-paced environment, delivering innovative solutions aligned with organizational goals and compliance standards. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint Online sites, libraries, lists, and workflows to support business processes. Build custom solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and PowerShell to automate tasks and enhance user experience.

Develop modern SharePoint components using SPFx, ensuring compatibility and performance. Integrate Microsoft 365 services (Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD, Exchange Online) to create a cohesive digital workspace. Migrate content from legacy systems into SharePoint Online; create reusable templates and governance-aligned solutions.

Troubleshoot issues, provide technical support, and ensure solutions adhere to security, compliance, and best-practice guidelines. Qualifications Strong background in SharePoint Online development with experience building and configuring enterprise-level solutions. Proficiency in modern development frameworks such as SPFx, TypeScript, and React.

Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and ability to create integrated workflows. Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API and REST APIs; knowledge of Azure Active Directory, permissions, identity management, and security best practices. Relevant certifications in Microsoft 365 development or related areas are a plus.
