In this position, you will play a strategic role within the Investment Operations team, ensuring the quality of fund financial statements and driving the industrialization of reporting for institutional clients through your analytical, financial and accounting expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and fund publications for mutual and segregated funds.
  • Validate the accuracy of key financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and statements of equity.
  • Identify and analyze financial discrepancies or irregularities to mitigate potential risks.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of financial statements in accordance with industry standards.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls related to financial and regulatory reporting.
  • Collaborate on data governance initiatives, ensuring data accuracy and integrity with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assess institutional client needs and contribute to the optimization of reporting processes and tools.
  • Support and migrate operational tools built in Excel (VBA).
  • Design, develop and implement Python-based solutions.
  • Leverage generative AI tools, including coding assistants such as Copilot, to accelerate development and enhance the quality of visualization and operational solutions.

Qualifications

  • Recognized for rigor and precision when working with complex financial data.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and financial industry regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies in a dynamic environment.
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment and communicates effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in financial analysis, financial reporting or accounting within the financial services industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
  • Professional designation such as CPA (asset).
  • Proficiency with reporting and business intelligence tools such as Excel (including VBA), Power BI, Workiva or other data visualization solutions (asset).
  • Strong Python skills and experience developing and integrating AI‑powered applications.
  • Understanding of database concepts and experience writing SQL queries (asset).
  • Experience with version control tools (asset).
  • Experience with Power Apps and the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem (asset).
  • Advanced level of both French and English, spoken and written, due to daily responsibilities performed in both languages.
