Reporting to the Director Revenue Strategy, the Analyst Pricing is accountable for executing all pricing functions for an assigned segment to capture value through improved yield, margin, and volume growth.
This role is a key contributor to Trimac’s efforts to achieve annual revenue budget, accelerate speed‑to‑market, and deliver sustainable, profitable growth. Responsibilities include creating strategic pricing structures aligned with market strategy, preparing analytics for contract renewals, and developing dynamic pricing mechanisms to maximize revenue based on capacity, product availability, and demand analysis. The position supports revenue growth by executing our commercial strategy through price, strategy development, and market assessments.
Key internal relationships include Revenue Management Specialists, Rate Administration, Sales, Finance, and Operations. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and issue daily truck‑line quotes, price proposals and bids, and analytics for contract renewals. Develop, recommend and execute price strategies and proposals which consider competitive assessments, product and capacity scenarios, target‑market opportunities, and performance targets.
Prepare revenue and profitability impact analysis as required on proposals and strategy. Develop and present optimized pricing recommendations to decision makers by working cross‑functionally to obtain financial, costing, sales, operational and segmentation inputs. Engage, build, and maintain relationships cross‑functionally with Sales, Operations, Finance, Rate Administration.
Conduct ex‑post analysis to measure segment/business performance to established benchmarks and forecasts. Contribute to the development of annual and monthly revenue and volume budgets and forecasts; and monitor business performance against said forecasts. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required. 0-2 years market analysis and or pricing experience within transportation, supply chain management, distribution, logistics or pricing/marketing analysis in other industries is considered an asset.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Understanding of the general bulk hauling environment in North America. Advanced working skills of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
