Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Overview We have an opportunity for experienced and enthusiastic Non Medical Prescribers to join the Adult ADHD Service in Halton, Knowsley and Sefton. Posts are split across multiple sites: Willis House, Vine Street and Netherton Health Centre. Responsibilities Carry out initial assessments of service users following agreed practice guidelines as part of a multi‑disciplinary team and participate in the shared caseload of the team.

Initiate medication, titrate doses, and monitor the effectiveness of selected treatments. Operate as part of an integrated Adult ADHD team while remaining flexible in delivering care across varied environments and provide in‑reach support to other teams across the Trust. Adopt a shared decision‑making approach, empowering patients to make informed choices about their care.

Formulate, contribute to, and participate in the development and implementation of assessment and care planning systems with the multi‑disciplinary team. Manage a caseload within the Adult ADHD team. Carry out generic and specialist assessments, including risk assessment, and provide therapeutic interventions.

Assist in developing and implementing integrated care pathways, including appropriate service‑user assessments, referrals, and models of care. Ensure record‑keeping complies with professional and Trust standards. Ensure the safe management of medicines and adhere to safe practice and principles of administration in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct and Trust Medicines Code.
