Job Description

Overview We are currently looking for an Account Manager in our Small Business Solutions division. The role involves day‑to‑day account management of employee group benefit plans for small business clients. Key Responsibilities Nurture, expand, and build relationships with existing and new clients.

Develop a clear understanding of the client and their strategy, and work closely to ensure their goals are being executed. Consultative conversations with internal client partners to ensure strategy is aligned and implemented. Serve as the key relationship point for clients, enlisting support team members as needed and overseeing request/project handling.

Focus on client retention and uncover additional opportunities to drive the sale of additional services and coverage levels. Apply benefits expertise to prepare and present renewals, benefit sessions, and employee communications; negotiate with carriers, interpret benchmark data, and analyze trends. Work with the Marketing & Implementation Concierge to ensure proper technical account implementation.

Serve as liaison to Producers connected to your clients when appropriate. About You Proven experience in Account Management with Broker/Consulting firms, Insurance Carrier, or Third‑Party Benefits Administration. Comfortable speaking in front of groups of employees and clients.

Successful completion of CEBS, GBA, or similar designations is an asset. Track record of solving complex client challenges through analytical and creative problem solving. Comfort managing client groups with varying levels of complexity.

Hands‑on renewal or marketing benefits plan experience is a definite plus. Strong organizational and project management capabilities. Able and willing to travel when business demands.

Expert in Microsoft 360 and manage Outlook inbox efficiently. Ability to identify decision makers and seek solutions to problems. Please note that this role will require you to obtain a Life license in the province(s) deemed necessary based on your client block.
