About the Role

We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a major cloud migration initiative within the healthtech industry.

You'll be part of a skilled engineering team responsible for designing and implementing a new Azure cloud environment while supporting interoperability with an existing AWS-based platform.

This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys building cloud infrastructure from the ground up, automating complex environments, and contributing to architectural and operational decisions. You'll work closely with principal engineers, architects, and distributed development teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support the design and implementation of a new Azure environment that complements an existing AWS-based ecosystem.
  • Build, configure, and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Develop and maintain reusable infrastructure modules and standardized deployment patterns.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and introduce DevOps best practices across the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and engineering teams to translate technical and business requirements into cloud solutions.
  • Configure Azure networking, identity, security, compute, storage, and platform services.
  • Support integrations and connectivity between Azure and AWS environments.
  • Monitor infrastructure availability, performance, security, and cloud consumption.
  • Identify opportunities to improve scalability, reliability, automation, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement observability, logging, monitoring, and alerting capabilities across cloud environments.
  • Help ensure compliance with security, access management, and infrastructure governance standards.
  • Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, networking, deployment, and CI/CD issues.
  • Document infrastructure configurations, operating procedures, and architectural decisions.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, planning sessions, technical discussions, and Agile ceremonies.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native architecture.
  • Practical knowledge of core Azure services, including compute, networking, storage, identity, and monitoring.
  • Experience with AWS and the ability to understand equivalent services, integration points, and architectural patterns across both cloud platforms.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Experience with Bicep or ARM templates is also valuable.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking, including VNets, subnets, routing, DNS, load balancing, VPNs, and private connectivity.
  • Knowledge of cloud identity and access management, including Microsoft Entra ID, roles, policies, and least-privilege access models.
  • Understanding of cloud security, governance, secrets management, and compliance practices.
  • Experience monitoring and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure and distributed applications.
  • Ability to work autonomously and contribute to technical decisions in complex environments.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice to Have

  • Experience participating in AWS-to-Azure migrations or hybrid and multi-cloud initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Kubernetes in production environments.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Exposure to data platforms, lakehouse architectures, Azure Synapse Analytics, or similar services.
  • Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Datadog, Grafana, or related observability tools.
  • Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost-optimization practices.
  • Experience working in healthtech or another highly regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks applicable to healthcare systems.

What Darwoft Offers

  • Contractor agreement with payment in USD.
  • 100% remote work from anywhere in LATAM.
  • Argentina's public holidays.
  • English classes.
  • Referral program.
  • Access to learning platforms.
  • Participation in an international cloud transformation project.
  • Opportunities to work with modern Azure, AWS, automation, and Infrastructure as Code technologies.
