Noble Alberta is a premier distributor of plumbing and hydronics products, serving Alberta’s construction and mechanical industries. Job Description As an Outside Account Manager, you will develop lasting, ethical customer relationships to maximize profitable sales for each customer, aiming to grow profit sharing at the business location. Responsibilities include: Visit customer offices, shops, and job sites to assess their needs and develop strong relationships to generate and close profitable sales.
Prospect and identify new customers, alerting the Business Manager and Credit Team of viable prospects. Lead and own the sales process, including producing sales call reports, territory planning, and growth targets. Analyze customer data, develop and execute strategies to profitably grow market share while exceeding targets at the business location.
Process orders, quotes, job packages, and related sales functions. Investigate and resolve customer issues, addressing short payments and returns promptly. Work with the Business Manager and Credit Team to facilitate payment of all accounts receivable and communicate any changes that might affect credit standing.
Develop and oversee vendor programs to profitably grow the business, participate in vendor trade shows and industry conventions. Understand and follow all safety regulations at customer and business locations. Support Customer Service Representatives and business location activities as part of the team.
Perform other tasks as requested by the Business Manager. Qualifications College and/or University degree. Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service or counter sales.
Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills.
Driven to continually identify and pursue new customers. Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of product and value‑added services. Excellent relationship‑building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates.
Can work independently with minimal supervision while meeting tight deadlines on multiple projects. Ability to learn and operate the software system used to process orders. Intermediate math skills and ability to operate material handling equipment.
Preferred Skills: Experience with plumbing and building products sold at the Profit Centre. Experience using Trend and Eclipse. Benefits Great mentors and on‑the‑job training.
