Position: Wireless Network Engineer Location : Pune (Hybrid Opportunity) Long-Term Contract Overview: This is a Build & Engineering role β€” NOT Ops/BAU/Troubleshooting Core: Cisco Wireless (WLCs, WAPs, SSIDs), Network Architecture & Design Key focus: Cisco Prime/ Catalyst Center migration (Prime is EOL) Will Coordinate with Automation Team + Architects + Security Ops (Splunk/SIEM integration) Nice-to-have: IoT/OT exposure Role Description: Network Technologist is responsible for working with a team of internal and external partners to deliver complex network solutions in alignment with our business needs and overall network strategy. This includes: Working with key stakeholders to provide end-to-end network design and deployment across LAN, MAN, WAN, data center, Wireless , extranet, and branch environments Securing funding for proposed designs via governance process (i.e. review of technical designs documentation and build of material) while keeping in mind opportunities for cost reductions.

Configuration and deploying network hardware Deployment of network equipment and subsequent testing in keeping with our risk profile: Network Stability Compliance to regulatory and mandatory policies Audit findings and Issue Assurances are fully addressed Adherence to all change management processes Full documentation for all deployments Knowledge Transfer to Support teams Prioritization of work streams with business and IT partners Focus on delivery of committed work streams in the agreed time frames Key Accountabilities: Build Engineering: Design, deliver, and maintain robust infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring reliability, performance, availability, and scalability. Incident Management: Monitor infrastructure performance, proactively identify risks or issues, and resolve incidents efficiently to reduce mean time to resolution. Automation: Develop and implement automated processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Security: Implement secure configurations and controls to protect infrastructure, systems, and data from cyber threats and unauthorized access. Collaboration: Work closely with architects, product managers, and engineering teams to define infrastructure requirements and deliver integrated, business?aligned solutions. Person Specification: To be successful as a Network Engineer, you should have experience in a combination of the below technologies: Routing and Switching (Cisco ACI, NXOS, Arista, ASR, EVPN, NDFC and Cisco campus Wi-Fi), and routing protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.) Enterprise Wi?Fi engineering proficiency: operate and transition from Cisco Prime to Cisco Catalyst Center (inventory, templates, assurance/telemetry, and automated workflows) to deliver consistent deployment and troubleshooting outcomes.

Wireless infrastructure management: configure and troubleshoot WLCs and WAPs (SSIDs, security/authentication, QoS, roaming, firmware lifecycle) and validate end-to-end client connectivity across sites. RF design & tuning: perform surveys/validation, channel and power optimization, RRM tuning, interference mitigation, and capacity planning to improve coverage, performance, and stability. Experience in designing and implementing complex data networks Automation experience including Python, Ansible and GitLab.

Some other highly valued skills and certifications include: Bluecoat / Symantec Proxy / zScaler / Infoblox / Forescout / NetScaler Cisco Certified - minimum CCNP Enterprise, FortiGate Associate or Professional and F5 LTM/GTM at 'Certified Technical Specialist' or equivalent level (one or multiple of these certifications)
