We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join our Delhi studio. This role is ideal for a technically strong architect with extensive experience in architectural detailing, construction documentation, project coordination, and execution. Position Overview The Senior Architect will be responsible for developing and coordinating architectural and interior design projects from concept through construction documentation and execution.
The role requires a high level of technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage drawing production, consultant coordination, and project documentation while ensuring design integrity throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects that meet design, quality, budget, and timeline objectives. Key Responsibilities Architectural Design & Documentation Develop architectural and interior design concepts and translate them into comprehensive drawing packages.
Produce detailed plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and construction details. Prepare and refine construction documentation, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements. Create detailed specifications for materials, finishes, fixtures, and construction methodologies.
Develop technical solutions that maintain design intent while addressing practical project requirements. Project Coordination Coordinate with structural, MEP, lighting, landscape, and specialist consultants. Review consultant drawings and integrate their requirements into architectural documentation.
Identify and resolve design conflicts and technical issues throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure all project documentation complies with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards. Project Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate and organized project records throughout all project phases.
Prepare permit and authority submission drawings and support approval processes. Revise drawings and documentation based on feedback from clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Ensure drawing sets remain current and accurately reflect project decisions.
Client & Stakeholder Management Participate in client meetings to understand project objectives and present design solutions. Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to clients and project stakeholders. Liaise with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to address technical queries and execution requirements.
Support project teams in maintaining alignment between design intent and site execution. Site Coordination & Quality Control Conduct site visits as required to review construction progress and resolve design-related issues. Verify that project execution aligns with approved drawings and specifications.
Review architectural documentation for accuracy and quality prior to issuance. Ensure high standards of design detailing and documentation across all project deliverables. Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
Professional Experience Minimum 7 years of professional experience in architecture, interior architecture, or related design fields. Demonstrated experience in preparing detailed construction documentation and technical drawing packages. Experience working on high-end residential, hospitality, commercial, or interior design projects is preferred.
Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and related design software. Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methodologies, materials, and detailing. Ability to independently produce accurate and comprehensive technical documentation.
Familiarity with project coordination and multidisciplinary consultant management. Core Competencies Exceptional attention to detail. Strong organizational and time management skills.
