Senior Analyst- Financial Advisory

Qualicentric

NoidaFull-timeMid LevelOn-site

Job Description

About the Role: Qualicentric embeds senior finance capability inside US mid-market companies and deal teams, delivering the analytical depth of a Big-4 or specialist advisory practice at the economics of an outsourced model. The Senior Analyst sits at the core of this delivery - translating raw client data into the financial models, reports, and diligence workpapers that drive CFO decisions and deal outcomes. Unlike a traditional in-house analyst role, you will work across two complementary mandates. On the ongoing advisory side, you support FP&A and management reporting for clients where Qualicentric acts as an embedded finance function. On the transaction side, you build the analytical workpapers underpinning Quality of Earnings and working capital analyses for live US deal mandates. The skillset is the same; the context shifts by engagement. This is a role for someone who takes pride in the quality of their own work product - who notices when a number does not reconcile, who formats a model so it can be audited, and who asks the right question before building in the wrong direction. WHAT YOU WILL DO 1. FP&A & Management Reporting • Build and maintain driver-based financial models: monthly actuals vs. budget variance analysis, rolling forecasts, and scenario analyses under the direction of the Manager • Prepare management reporting deliverables - monthly P&L packs, KPI dashboards, and variance commentary decks - ensuring numbers tie end-to-end across all schedules • Populate and maintain integrated three-statement models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) with operating KPI bridges; flag model integrity issues proactively • Maintain 13-week cash flow trackers and covenant compliance schedules with weekly updates coordinated against client accounting data • Support CFO presentation preparation: build charts, tables, and bridge analyses in Excel and PowerPoint to a client-ready standard • Perform ad hoc financial analyses - pricing and margin analyses, department-level cost deep-dives, customer profitability reviews - as directed by the engagement lead 2.

Financial Due Diligence & Transaction Support • Build and maintain the QoE workbook - populating normalising adjustment schedules, sourcing supporting documents from the data room, and maintaining a clean audit trail for each adjustment • Construct revenue disaggregation analyses: customer-level waterfall schedules, cohort trends, channel mix, and concentration summaries across the trailing analysis period • Build working capital analyses: monthly NWC calculation schedules, seasonality overlays, and peg determination support under the direction of the engagement Manager • Populate net debt schedules - debt instruments, capital lease obligations, deferred revenue, unfunded liabilities - with values sourced directly from client balance sheets and supporting documents • Prepare management information schedules and document request trackers; maintain version control across data room iterations • Draft supporting sections of the FDD report - revenue analysis, working capital commentary, net debt schedule - with clear sourcing, defined adjustment logic, and consistent formatting 3. Quality, Process & Practice Support • Cross-check all output for arithmetic accuracy, formula integrity, and internal consistency before submitting for Manager review - zero-tolerance for avoidable errors • Maintain Qualicentric's template library and standardised workbooks; update templates based on engagement learnings and Manager direction • Prepare structured data request lists and manage follow-up with client finance teams under the engagement lead's oversight • Document analytical procedures and data sources clearly so work product can be reviewed, audited, or handed off without re-explanation • Participate in team knowledge-sharing sessions; actively build technical fluency in US GAAP standards relevant to both FP&A and FDD contexts WHAT YOU BRING • 3–6 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or transaction advisory - Big-4, accounting firm, or corporate finance background preferred • CA / CPA / MBA (Finance) qualification required; strong academic record and analytical aptitude considered alongside formal credentials • Hands-on financial modelling skills in Excel - comfortable building models from scratch, not just populating existing templates; can structure a workbook that a reviewer can follow • Foundational understanding of US GAAP accounting standards: revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), and working capital mechanics in a deal context • Exposure to FDD workpapers or QoE analysis - either in an audit, advisory, or due diligence support capacity - a meaningful differentiator • Attention to detail that goes beyond proofreading: you notice when a subtotal does not match the prior schedule, when a trend break needs explanation, when a footnote assumption has changed • Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable drafting variance commentary and analysis summaries in plain English for a US CFO audience • Ability to manage multiple tasks across different engagements simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising output quality
