Java Backend Engineer / Platform Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team focused on building large-scale, real-time decisioning and analytics platforms. The team develops intelligent solutions that enable high-volume transaction processing, AI-driven decisioning, streaming analytics, and cloud-native services operating at global scale. This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical initiatives involving distributed systems, cloud transformation, AI model deployment, and high-performance application development.

The successful candidate will contribute to architecture, design, development, and delivery while mentoring team members and promoting engineering best practices. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and modern enterprise frameworks. Build high-performance, scalable applications leveraging Spring, gRPC, and microservices architectures.

Own technical deliverables for assigned workstreams and ensure production readiness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and drive architecture and design discussions. Support CI/CD processes, containerized deployments, and cloud migration initiatives.

Participate in code reviews and enforce engineering standards and best practices. Drive automation across deployment, testing, and validation processes. Contribute to system design, performance optimization, and platform reliability initiatives.

Required Qualifications Strong software development experience with Java. Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and gRPC. Experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, or EasyMock.

Strong SQL skills and experience working with Oracle databases. Experience building and supporting high-performance, scalable applications. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

Experience with REST API testing frameworks such as Rest Assured. Experience with Selenium WebDriver and automated testing practices. Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.

Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or PCF. Exposure to front-end technologies such as Angular. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.

Preferred Skills System design and architecture experience. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Strong understanding of CI/CD tools, including Jenkins.
