As demand increases and the organization prepares to open the 18,000 sq. ft. Position Overview Reporting to the Executive Director and as a key member of the SFB leadership team, the Operations Manager leads daily operations, coordinating volunteer team leads, logistics, and volunteer‑led service delivery. Key Responsibilities Daily operations, warehouse and workflow coordination and ongoing improvement Volunteer leadership and coordination, generally through volunteer team leads Food safety, accreditation, and Occupational Health and Safety compliance Manage inventory, purchasing and logistics systems; manage reporting and administrative duties Required Skills Strong operational leadership and problem‑solving skills Knowledge of food, warehouse, logistics, workplace safety, WHMIS and customer service systems Ability to lead, engage, motivate and collaborate with volunteers Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills Strong Microsoft and computer literacy skills required Education and Experience 5+ years operations leadership experience, preferably in a food service operation Post‑secondary degree in a related field; professional designation in a related field preferred Valid AB driver’s license and provincially‑recognized food safety certification required (within first 30 days) Equivalencies may be considered Compensation The SFB is committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and accessible workplace that reflects the diversity of our community.
