QA Engineer

About the Role: The QA Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of scalable, business-critical applications. This is a hands-on hybrid role where you will actively contribute to both automation and manual testing efforts , with a greater emphasis on expanding and strengthening automation practices. You will work within a global, DevOps-driven product team , collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and business users across multiple technology stacks including: .NET / Angular Node.js / Angular Low-code platforms (Out Systems) This role offers an opportunity to drive automation maturity while maintaining strong manual QA foundations .

Key Responsibilities: Automation (60%): Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites Build end-to-end, regression, and integration tests using tools like Playwright, Jest, xUnit, Selenium, Cypress Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless automation in deployment workflows Contribute to test architecture, frameworks, and tooling decisions Ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable test code Drive innovation by introducing new tools, frameworks, and practices Manual Testing (40%): Design and execute detailed manual test cases and test plans Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and UAT testing Work closely with business stakeholders to support user acceptance testing (UAT) Ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features and enhancements Identify defects early and provide actionable feedback to developers Maintain test documentation, reports, and execution tracking What Youll Bring: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 2+ years of experience in QA with both manual and automation exposure Strong understanding of testing methodologies and QA lifecycle Hands-on experience in at least one automation framework/tool Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments Familiarity with cloud platforms and microservices architecture is a plus Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Must-Have Skills: Automation tools: Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Jest, xUnit Manual testing expertise across functional & non-functional testing CI/CD integration and Azure DevOps exposure Programming knowledge: C#, .NET / Node.js / TypeScript Version control: Git Good to Have: Experience with Azure PaaS components Knowledge of containerization / microservices architecture Exposure to test framework design and architecture
