Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Solar Engineer role based in Ahmedabad. The Solar Engineer will be responsible for designing and optimizing solar PV systems, including sizing, layout, and component selection for rooftop and ground-mounted installations.

Daily tasks include preparing electrical and PV design drawings, performing system simulations, and conducting technical feasibility studies. The role involves coordinating with project managers, procurement, and installation teams to ensure designs are practical, compliant, and cost-effective. The Solar Engineer will also support site assessments, review installation quality, troubleshoot system issues, and prepare technical documentation, reports, and as-built drawings.

Qualifications Strong understanding of the Solar Industry and Solar Power technologies, including current trends, standards, and best practices. Hands-on experience with Solar Systems, including system sizing, component selection, performance analysis, and compliance with safety codes. Proficiency in PV Design, including use of relevant design and simulation software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD or similar tools).

Solid Electrical Design skills, including single-line diagrams, cable sizing, protection schemes, and grid-interconnection requirements. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field; advanced certifications in solar or PV design are an advantage. Ability to interpret technical drawings, standards, and specifications, and to produce clear technical documentation and reports.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities, with attention to detail and safety. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate on-site with cross-functional teams and external partners.
