Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Fashion Designer role based in Ahmedabad.

The Assistant Fashion Designer will support the design team in developing collections for exhibitions, including ideation, sketching, and sampling. Responsibilities include assisting with fabric and trim selection, coordinating with vendors and artisans, and supporting embroidery and surface design development. The role involves preparing mood boards, maintaining design documentation, and organizing samples and lookbooks for showcases.

The Assistant Fashion Designer will also assist with fittings, ensure garment quality and finish, and collaborate with merchandising and styling teams during exhibitions and buyer meetings. Qualifications Strong foundation in Fashion Design and Fashion concepts, with the ability to translate trends into commercially viable collections. Knowledge of Textiles, including fabric types, drape, and surface treatments, to support material selection and product development.

Skills in Embroidery and related embellishment techniques to collaborate effectively with artisans and enhance garment detailing. Experience assisting with Fitting sessions, understanding garment construction and adjustments to achieve desired silhouettes and comfort. Proficiency in sketching (hand or digital), basic CAD or design software, and preparing mood boards and technical spec sheets.

Diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related discipline is preferred. Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Willingness to work on-site in Ahmedabad and support extended hours during exhibitions, launches, and key events.
