About the role We are seeking a talented, innovative engineer to join our dynamic team, responsible for designing, developing and executing comprehensive test plans and procedures using model-based testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in model-based testing, automation and validation. Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed model-based test plans, models and test strategies for complex naval systems and subsystems Design, create and maintain test models using industry-standard modeling languages such as UML, SysML or MATLAB/Simulink to support Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) testing and validation Execute model-based tests, including functional, performance and environmental tests, using automated test tools and frameworks Analyze test results, identify trends and produce comprehensive test reports that provide actionable insights and recommendations for improvement Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, software developers and system integrators, to ensure seamless model-based testing and validation Stay current with emerging model-based testing methodologies, tools and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation in our testing processes Contribute to the development and maintenance of model-based test documentation, including test plans, models, test cases and test reports Participate in root-cause analysis and lessons-learned activities to identify process improvement opportunities and share knowledge Qualifications Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in a related discipline or equivalent co-op/alternative training Experience in model-based testing, automation and validation, with a focus on naval systems and subsystems Experience designing, developing and executing comprehensive model-based test plans and procedures for complex hardware systems Strong knowledge of model-based testing methodologies, tools and best practices, including UML, SysML, MATLAB/Simulink or other modeling languages Proficiency with model-based test automation tools and frameworks Experience with HIL testing, power electronics or embedded systems is an asset Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously Ability to obtain a security clearance Additional desired skills Experience with shipboard combat systems and their support elements is an asset Experience with IBM Rational DOORS is an asset Experience with CAMEO is an asset Experience with Agile Scrum methodology is an asset Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools Good working knowledge of SAP Experience in military or aerospace model-based testing and validation Familiarity with industry standards such as DO-178C, DO-254 or Avionics Full-Duplex Switched Ethernet (AFDX) Certification in relevant testing methodologies, e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, is an asset What we offer We deliver on work/life balance!
