Overview The Senior Manager – Social Media leads Dairy West's social media strategy, content development, and audience engagement efforts across priority platforms. This role shapes how Dairy West shows up in culture, conversations, and everyday moments, translating the organization's purpose into content that helps consumers connect with dairy, dairy farmers, and the products they enjoy every day. The Senior Manager develops and executes integrated social media strategies that build trust, create demand, and strengthen Dairy West's presence across Idaho, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.

Working collaboratively across departments and with external partners, this position balances creativity and performance to deliver meaningful engagement and measurable results. This position is based in Tigard, Oregon and follows a hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities Social Strategy & Audience Growth Lead Dairy West's social media strategy across priority platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, brand priorities, and integrated marketing efforts.

Identify emerging trends, audience behaviors, creator opportunities, and platform innovations that strengthen Dairy West's relevance and impact. Guide channel planning, audience development, editorial direction, and social support for campaigns, partnerships, events, and key cultural moments. Develop creator, influencer, and partnership opportunities that expand reach and deepen audience engagement.

Content Leadership & Storytelling Lead the creation of platform-native content, including video, photography, graphics, written content, and behind-the-scenes storytelling. Oversee content calendars, publishing strategies, and creative workflows to ensure consistent, high-quality content across channels. Collaborate with internal teams to develop audience-first stories that highlight dairy farmers, dairy products, nutrition, innovation, and community impact.

Translate trends and cultural conversations into timely content opportunities that support Dairy West's mission and brand voice. Performance & Optimization Establish and monitor social media performance metrics, including engagement, reach, audience growth, referral traffic, and conversions. Leverage analytics, social listening, and platform insights to optimize content performance and channel strategy.

Evaluate audience sentiment, competitive activity, and industry trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Develop reporting frameworks and strategic recommendations that inform decision-making and demonstrate impact. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operations Partner with colleagues across Nutrition Partnerships, Business Development, Industry Relations, and Research & Innovation to bring integrated narratives to life.

Manage day-to-day social operations, publishing workflows, content approvals, production timelines, and community engagement activities. Support live event coverage, real-time storytelling, and social activations that strengthen Dairy West's connection with consumers and stakeholders. Maintain operational excellence, brand consistency, quality standards, and responsible stewardship of farmer investment across all social media activities.

Ability to travel occasionally, up to 25%, and attend events outside of standard business hours as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, digital media, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of five years of experience in social media strategy, content creation, digital marketing, or audience development. Proven success managing multi-platform social media programs and growing audience engagement for consumer-facing brands. Strong understanding of platform best practices across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging channels.

Demonstrated expertise in content production, creative storytelling, analytics, and performance optimization. Experience working with agencies, creators, and cross-functional teams. Strong strategic thinking, project management, communication, and storytelling skills.

Ability to balance creative execution with data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced environment. The salary range for this position is $73,000 - $115,000.
