Senior Memory Design Engineer (Sustaining) , HBM

Heterogeneous Integration Group (HIG) HIG develops high-bandwidth memory (HBM) products for AI, HPC, and data‑centric systems, focusing on design, optimization, and reliability. Job Overview Senior Memory Design Engineer (Sustaining) – Focus on the HBM product family.

Works with cross‑functional teams to evaluate silicon issues, support design release, and drive innovation for future memory generations. Responsibilities Design digital, analog, and memory core circuits from concept to solution. Perform parasitic modeling, design validation, reticle experiments, and tape‑out revisions.

Create optimized floorplans for placement, routing, power delivery, sense margins, array timing, and die size. Simulate and verify designs using FineSim, HSPICE, and Verilog. Analyze and optimize power delivery networks.

Run design checks prior to initial and revision tapeouts. Debug pre‑silicon and post‑silicon issues in current HBM products. Coordinate with standards, CAD, modeling, and verification groups to ensure design quality.

Prepare project status reports and lead design reviews. Qualifications BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field. 4+ years (BS) or 2+ years (MS) of relevant experience. Extensive knowledge of CMOS circuit design and semiconductor device physics.

Experience with schematic entry, Verilog, FastSpice, and HSPICE simulations. Strong understanding of timing, area, power, and complexity trade‑offs in DRAM or mixed‑signal design. Preferred Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Self‑motivated team player thriving in diverse environments. Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills; scripting experience (Python, TCL, Perl). Prior RTL design flow experience in DRAM or foundry processes.
