Buyside Equity Research Analyst

Buy-Side Equity Research Analyst Location: Mumbai Experience: Relevant Equity Research Experience About the Role We are looking to hire a Buy-Side Equity Research Analyst with strong research, analytical, and financial modelling capabilities to support investment research and idea generation across listed Indian equities. The role involves conducting in-depth company analysis, tracking sectors and market trends, and assisting in investment decision-making. Candidates with prior experience in buy-side research or strong sell-side equity research backgrounds will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed fundamental research on listed companies across sectors Build and maintain financial models, valuation frameworks, and investment trackers Prepare investment notes, earnings updates, and stock recommendations Analyze annual reports, investor presentations, earnings calls, and industry developments Track portfolio companies and monitor key business/financial developments Support investment decision-making through data-driven research and analysis Participate in management interactions, channel checks, and sector studies where required Desired Candidate Profile Relevant experience in Buy-Side or Sell-Side Equity Research Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting, and valuation methodologies Proficiency in financial modelling and investment analysis Strong analytical thinking and business understanding Good communication and presentation skills Passion for public market investing and long-term business analysis Preferred Background PMS AMC Brokerage Houses Investment Advisory Firms Research Firms Education Preference CFA / CA / MBA Finance preferred Additional Requirement Candidates may be required to submit research reports/assignments as part of the evaluation process.
