UAV Engineering Intern

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated UAV Engineering Intern with a strong interest in drone systems, flight control technologies, and autonomous aerial platforms. The ideal candidate will support the design, testing, integration, and deployment of UAV systems while gaining hands-on experience working with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in UAV development, flight testing, mission planning, and system integration.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design, assembly, prototyping, and testing of multirotor and fixed-wing UAV systems. Support UAV modeling, simulation, and basic flight stability analysis. Help integrate and configure flight control systems such as Pixhawk, FPV, and other flight controllers.

Assist with UAV system integration including telemetry, sensors, payloads, GPS, and communication systems. Support autonomous mission planning using QGroundControl, Mission Planner, or similar GCS platforms. Participate in field testing, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation of UAVs.

Work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams on ongoing UAV projects. Maintain documentation including test reports, flight logs, and system configurations. Research emerging UAV technologies and contribute ideas for innovation and improvement.

Follow safety procedures, regulatory guidelines, and engineering best practices during development and testing. Qualifications: Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Basic understanding of UAV systems, aerodynamics, electronics, or robotics.

Familiarity with flight controllers such as Pixhawk or FPV systems is a plus. Exposure to mission planning tools like QGroundControl or Mission Planner is preferred. Interest in autonomous systems, UAV operations, and drone technologies.

Basic knowledge of sensors, GPS, telemetry, or embedded systems is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a hands-on engineering environment. Good communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with guidance from mentors. This is a paid internship position, and the duration and schedule can be negotiated based on the candidate's availability and our project needs. Excellent performers will have the opportunity to convert to full-time.

This role provides valuable exposure to advanced unmanned aerial vehicle systems and collaborative engineering practices in a fast-paced innovation-driven environment.
