Job Description

Job Title: Wire Harness Quality Engineer Location: Hyderabad (Onsite) Experience Required: 3+ years in wire harness domain (flexible based on profile) Overview of the Role: We propose hiring a Wire Harness Quality Engineer to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of design outputs before release to production. This role will serve as a critical quality checkpoint by reviewing, validating, and approving deliverables generated by the Design Engineering team, thereby minimizing errors and ensuring smooth manufacturing execution. In addition, the role will support quality assurance processes through proper documentation management and development of required Quality Control documentation.

Key Responsibilities: Review and verify 1:1 Formboard drawings prepared by design engineers Validate associated documentation, including: Bill of Materials (BOM) Label sheets Tool lists Validation checklists Wire lists Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all deliverables prior to release to production Check and approve component selection and compatibility Review and interpret component datasheets to validate correct application in design Verify adherence to wire harness standards and drawing requirements across domains Identify discrepancies, provide structured feedback, and ensure necessary corrections are implemented Approve design validation and quality approval/sign-off before release Coordinate with cross-functional teams: Design Engineering Manufacturing Quality Support the resolution of production issues related to design quality, including conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Maintain quality-related documentation and create required documents for the Quality department, ensuring proper record-keeping and compliance with internal processes. Required Skills & Qualifications Background in wire harness design and/or wire harness manufacturing Strong understanding of wire harness design principles, standards, and quality validation processes.

Hands-on exposure to Zuken E3 software (preferred; considered an Advantage) Ability to interpret single-line diagrams, schematics, and harness standards Ability to read and validate component datasheets and ensure compatibility, particularly for automotive components and connectors Diploma or bachelor’s degree in: Electrical Electronics Mechanical Automotive domain experience preferred Key Competencies: Strong attention to detail with a focus on defect identification and prevention Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability Effective communication and coordination skills Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Strong focus on production readiness and quality compliance
