SAP MDG Integration Technical Consultant

Position Summary The SAP MDG Integration Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting integration solutions for SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) implemented in conjunction with SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud. The role will focus on enabling reliable, scalable, and secure inbound/outbound master data exchange across Material Master, Business Partner–Customer, and Business Partner–Supplier domains. The candidate will work within a global SAP transformation program and collaborate with enterprise architects, MDG functional teams, application owners, and integration teams to deliver modern API-driven solutions while supporting traditional SAP integration mechanisms. This is a Remote location position. Daily Responsibilities Integration Architecture & Design Design end-to-end integration architecture for SAP MDG master data domains: Material Master Business Partner – Customer Business Partner – Supplier Design inbound and outbound integration solutions using: SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration/iFlows) APIs OData services SOAP Web Services IDocs Enterprise Services Event-driven patterns Participate in solution design workshops and technical architecture discussions. SAP MDG Integration Development Develop and configure SAP MDG integrations using: SAP Integration Suite (CPI/iFlows) REST APIs SOAP services OData services IDoc extensions Service proxies Configure and support SAP MDG Data Replication Framework (DRF): Replication models Business systems Filters Target mappings Outbound implementations Develop reusable integration components and integration templates. API & Connectivity Services Configure and support: SAP Cloud Connector SAP API Management Secure connectivity mechanisms Implement authentication and authorization approaches: OAuth SAML Certificates Principal propagation Develop API-based integration services for external systems consuming governed master data. Development & Enhancements Develop custom enhancements using: ABAP Objects, BadIs, Enhancement Framework, user exits, Web Services Support development of custom integration logic for complex business scenarios. Testing Create technical design documentation and unit test scripts.

Support testing activities: FIT, SIT, BST, UAT, mock conversions, production cutover Troubleshoot and resolve integration defects. Must Have Skills SAP MDG Integration Experience 5+ years SAP technical development experience 2+ years hands-on SAP MDG implementation experience 2+ years SAP MDG Integration development experience Experience with one or more of the following domains: Material Master governance Business Partner–Customer governance Business Partner–Supplier governance Hands-on experience with one or more of the following technologies: SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration/CPI) OData services REST APIs SOAP Web Services SAP API Management SAP Cloud Connector Enterprise Services IDoc/ALE framework XML/XSLT SAP Development Skills Hands-on experience with: ABAP OO Enhancement Framework BAdIs user exits Service proxies Gateway/OData development CDS views Integration Architecture Strong understanding of: synchronous vs asynchronous integrations API-first architecture event-driven architecture security concepts authentication mechanisms error handling and monitoring Demonstrated experience supporting hybrid SAP landscapes involving coexistence of traditional SAP integration mechanisms (IDoc/ALE, Enterprise Services) and modern API-driven architectures using SAP Integration Suite and SAP BTP technologies.
