QA Architect

About Position: We are looking for an experienced QA Architect to define, govern, and scale quality engineering practices across programs. This role goes beyond automation and focuses on building robust testing strategies, frameworks, and governance models to ensure end-to-end product quality across UI, API, and enterprise systems. Role: QA Architect Location: Pune/Bangalore/Hyderabad Experience: 10 to 15 Years Job Type: Full Time Employment What You’ll Do: Design and develop scalable UI and API automation frameworks using Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python Lead TDD/BDD adoption and build automation suites using frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, TestNG/JUnit, Cucumber, PyTest Ensure framework reusability, modularity, and support for multi-layer testing (UI, API, services) Integrate automated testing within CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) Define QA strategy including test planning, estimation, coverage, and quality gates Ensure comprehensive functional and non-functional testing (performance, stress, reliability) Manage test lifecycle tools such as Jira, X-Ray, Zephyr, and TestRail Develop architecture documents, automation guidelines, and reusable accelerators Perform SQL validations, test data management, and ensure data integrity Conduct log analysis and root-cause analysis across distributed systems Leverage GenAI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) for test optimization and productivity Collaborate with Dev, DevOps, Product, Architecture, and Data Engineering teams Expertise You’ll Bring: Strong experience in designing automation frameworks for UI and API testing Expertise in BDD/TDD practices and tools like Cucumber, PyTest, TestNG Hands-on experience with tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured Experience integrating QA automation in CI/CD pipelines Working knowledge of Jira and test management tools like X-Ray, Zephyr, TestRail Strong SQL skills for data validation and test data preparation Experience in root-cause analysis, debugging, and distributed system troubleshooting Exposure to GenAI tools for QE productivity improvements Experience defining QA strategies, governance models, and quality metrics Hands-on experience in performance and stress testing tools Knowledge of accessibility testing and operational readiness is a plus Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills Experience in Agile/Scrum environments Ability to drive proposals, PoCs, and QE solution blueprints Experience in BFSI domain is preferred Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package Culture focused on talent development with quarterly growth opportunities and company-sponsored higher education and certifications Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies Employee engagement initiatives such as project parties, flexible work hours, and Long Service awards Annual health check-ups Insurance coverage: group term life, personal accident, and Mediclaim hospitalization for self, spouse, two children, and parents Values-Driven, People-Centric & Inclusive Work Environment: Persistent is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
