Engineering Lead – DViO One Location: Pune, MH (On-site) Experience: 5–7 years Reports to: Leadership, DViO One Note: This role has a sharp technical bar. Please read the must-have section before applying. We will only shortlist candidates who clearly demonstrate the four core skills below.

The Role We are looking for an Engineering Lead to drive the technical direction of DViO One — lead a small engineering team, contribute hands-on to architecture and code, ship product, and keep the team moving fast without compromising quality. This is a high-ownership position that combines strong hands-on engineering with early-stage team leadership. Must-Have Skills (the bar) You must be able to demonstrate hands-on, production-grade experience across all four pillars below.

Profiles missing any of these will not be shortlisted. 1. Backend (Python / FastAPI): Strong backend engineering — Python and FastAPI strongly preferred. Building, scaling, and maintaining production backend services is core to this role. 2.

Cloud Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, and modern deployment practices (CI/CD, containerised services, environment management). Comfort with EC2, RDS, and adjacent AWS services. 3. Data Engineering: Real working knowledge of warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, and workflow orchestration.

Hands-on with at least one orchestration tool (e.g. Temporal, Airflow, Prefect) and one warehouse (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift). 4.

AI / LLM Integration: Production experience integrating LLMs into real products — AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar. We want to see what you have built, not just experimented with. You are expected to evaluate and evolve it as the product scales. What You’ll Do Technical Ownership Drive the technical direction of the platform alongside leadership; design solutions that balance long-term scalability with the pace of a fast-moving startup. Stay hands-on — you will spend a significant share of your time writing and reviewing code, not just managing.

Evaluate emerging technologies and flag when architectural evolution is required. Team Leadership Lead a small engineering team (currently four developers) — set the pace, unblock people, and grow individual contributors. Establish engineering practices — code review standards, deployment workflows, testing strategies, documentation.

Onboard new developers quickly; maintain knowledge transfer, stability, and team morale. Build a culture of ownership and technical excellence. Product Delivery Break product requirements into clear engineering milestones across data pipelines, backend services, APIs, and frontend.

Prototype features, debug complex issues, and review critical code when it matters. Security & Compliance Apply a security-first mindset across authentication, data pipelines, access controls, and infrastructure. Help prepare the platform for enterprise certifications — SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, and other relevant standards.

AI in the Engineering Workflow Integrate AI tools (code generation, testing, documentation, security analysis) into development without compromising reliability. Critically evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, security, and architectural fit. Keep the system clean and maintainable as AI accelerates delivery.

What We’re Looking For Experience 5–7 years of software engineering experience, with at least 1–2 years in a tech-lead or team-lead capacity. Track record of building and shipping production systems in a fast-moving environment. Comfortable leading a small team (2–4 developers) while remaining hands-on.

Good to Have Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, or HIPAA compliance preparation. Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Temporal, Airbyte, Redis. Prior experience at a data, AI, or SaaS startup.

Familiarity with React (to review and guide, not own). Leadership & Mindset Ability to lead and mentor a small engineering team while staying close to the code. Strong product sense and “taste” — cares about code quality, UX polish, and architectural elegance.

Founder-style ownership — treats the product as their own. Comfortable operating in ambiguity; calm and analytical under pressure. Communication Excellent spoken and written English.
