Job Description Date Posted: 05/08/2026 Hiring Organization: Rose International Position Number: 500973 Industry: Government Job Title: Reporting Analyst Job Location: Edmonton, AB, Canada, T5K 2J6 Work Model: Hybrid – primarily remote, occasional on‑site meetings Shift: 8:15 to 4:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday Employment Type: Temporary FT/PT: Full‑Time Estimated Duration: 10 months Hourly Rate: $50.00 – $58.00 C2C is not available Required Skills Direct hands‑on experience designing, developing, and optimizing advanced Power BI solutions that transform regulated and complex datasets into actionable insights for policy, operations, and executive reporting (5 Years) Experience with building business intelligence, visualization, or analytics platforms, including dashboards, reporting, and analytical workflows to support decision‑making, separate from core data engineering tasks (5 Years) Experience in facilitating meetings and communicating with senior management and project stakeholders (5 Years) Experience using data analytics tools and methodologies to derive insights from data (5 Years) Experience working with cross‑functional teams to understand detailed requirements and align the design to product vision and user needs (5 Years) Preferred Skills Experience delivering commercially beneficial insights and analytics strategies to large businesses and/or governments (5 Years) Experience in developing business requirements documentation (5 Years) Experience in building analytical and quantitative models (5 Years) Experience with business writing, communication, and documentation (5 Years) Experience evaluating and applying emerging trends in semantic research areas, Generative AI, AI ethics, advanced analytics (AI, machine learning, data science), and data interoperability to inform strategic planning (5 Years) Job Duties Build automated and interactive monitoring and reporting products such as dashboards and trackers; integrate analytics as needed Design and develop complex dashboards, scorecards, and visual analytics using Power BI, Power Automate, and other platforms Design, develop, and maintain data models and visualizations using Power BI and Azure‑based data platforms Integrate AI capabilities (e.g., Python) to augment analytical processes by automating data exploration, identifying trends and anomalies, and generating insights Collaborate with business analysts, data specialists, data intelligence advisors, and regulatory subject matter expert staff and leadership to develop data products Coordinate the development of data products that align with business needs and outcomes Lead product validation through robust QA/QC Assist with the collection, consolidation, and synthesis of data from multiple sources toward meaningful datasets Provide cross‑training or on‑the‑job training to staff who own the end products and will manage implementation and ongoing maintenance Provide end‑user training and support to ensure adoption of BI tools Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and similar user‑guides as needed The position requires building strong relationships and working collaboratively across department branches to ensure regulatory evaluation and reporting are data‑driven and contextualized The individual is experienced with data management systems and working with data from various sources The individual will have the ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to business users and leads Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.
