Commercial Account Executive (Marine Insurance)

Overview

In this role, you will manage and grow a marine-focused commercial book within a well-established, independent broker. You’ll service vessel owners, marinas, and related marine clients, contributing to a specialist, relationship-led advisory approach. You will inherit a substantial revenue book and be supported to expand it through new business development while maintaining high renewal rates.

• manage an existing marine commercial book and service clients
• drive organic growth by developing 25k–30k of new business per year
• maintain high client renewal rates (target ~95%+)
• provide specialist marine insurance advice (Hull and Machinery, P&I, Marine Liability)
• build and maintain long-standing client relationships across coastal regions
• collaborate with cross-functional teams and support staff to deliver tailored solutions
• generate revenue through plus/minus cross-selling within the marine and commercial lines
• participate in training and development initiatives to enhance technical and advisory capabilities

• track record as Commercial Account Executive at an Insurance Broker
• strong commercial combined/package insurance background
• interest or experience with marine insurance a plus
• proven ability to retain clients and renewals (≈95%+)
• demonstrated ability to develop 25k–30k of new business per year
• flexible location with preference for South West, Wales, South East or Midlands
