Delivery Driver – Equipment Hire | Immediate Start

Peninsula Products is looking for a reliable delivery driver to join our equipment-hire business in Carrum Downs.
No industry experience is required. Full training will be provided.
You’ll deliver and collect concrete grinding equipment around Melbourne, provide customers with a simple equipment handover and help prepare equipment between hires.
We need someone who can start immediately, ideally from Monday 5 October.
About the role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering and collecting hire equipment around Melbourne
- Loading, unloading and safely securing equipment
- Providing customers with basic equipment instructions
- Taking delivery and collection photos
- Completing simple job paperwork using a mobile phone
- Checking equipment and accessories against each booking
- Cleaning and preparing equipment between hires
- Keeping the delivery vehicle clean and organised
- Assisting with general workshop duties when required
- Reporting equipment damage or faults to management
Hours will generally be Monday to Friday and will vary depending on bookings. The role will initially provide approximately 20–30 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours as demand increases.
About you
Experience in equipment hire or concrete grinding is not required. We can teach the right person everything they need to know.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds a full Victorian driver’s licence
- Is a safe and confident driver
- Is reliable, punctual and available at relatively short notice
- Can work independently and manage a daily delivery schedule
- Is physically capable of safely handling hire equipment using ramps and appropriate loading equipment
- Is comfortable speaking with customers and explaining basic instructions
- Can confidently use a smartphone for job details, photos and signatures
- Has reliable transport to our Carrum Downs workshop
- Takes care of company vehicles, machinery and customer property
- Can accept direction and communicate clearly if a problem arises
Experience driving vans, towing trailers, delivering machinery or working with tools would be helpful, but is not essential.
