Job Description
Key responsibilities
Prepare SMSF financial statements and income tax returns.
Process investment transactions including shares, managed funds, property, pensions, and corporate actions.
Review fund compliance and identify potential breaches or reporting issues.
Liaise with auditors and resolve audit queries promptly.
Prepare pension documentation and member reporting schedules.
Ensure all annual obligations are completed accurately and on time.
Support accountancy firms and advisers through professional and proactive communication.
Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Maintain compliance with superannuation and tax legislation.
About you
2+ years' experience in SMSF accounting or SMSF administration.
Strong understanding of SMSF legislation and compliance requirements.
Experience preparing SMSF financial statements and tax returns.
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage deadlines across multiple funds.
Experience with Class Super SMSF software.
CA, CPA, or currently undertaking professional studies.
Exposure to complex SMSF strategies including pension funds, property investments, related-party transactions, and Limited Recourse Borrowing Arrangements (LRBAs).
Experience working within a white-label or outsourced administration environment.
