Job Description
Lead the teams that turn great ideas into exceptional client experiences. This role brings together Sales, Design and business strategy to drive profitable growth, strengthen client relationships and deliver outstanding workplace solutions. You will develop and coach high-performing teams, lead the end-to-end sales journey, and ensure design resources are aligned with both client needs and business priorities.
From opportunity to execution, you will help keep projects on time, on budget, and at the highest quality standards. We are looking for a hands‑on leader who combines commercial thinking with a passion for people, design and results, with strong knowledge of commercial interiors, office furniture solutions, workplace strategy, project management and consultative selling.
Profile
- At least 8 years of furniture industry experience (Must Have), including 5+ years leading and developing teams.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Interior Design, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Ideally, experience selling on the dealer side of the furniture industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Location: Houston, TX — Candidates should be locally based or willing to relocate.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop the Sales and Design team
- Conduct regular one‑on‑one meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and exceptional customer service
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop top sales and design talent.
- Create individual development plans for team members.
- Establish performance metrics and hold team members accountable for results.
- Foster collaboration between Sales, Design, Operations, and Project Management teams.
Sales and Design Leadership
- Drive revenue growth while maintaining healthy profit margins.
- Develop and execute annual sales strategies and initiatives.
- Monitor pipeline activity and forecast future revenue.
- Coach sales representatives throughout the sales process.
- Participate in key client meetings and presentations.
- Assist with complex proposals and negotiations.
- Develop strategic relationships with clients, brokers, architects, designers, contractors, and manufacturers.
- Ensure consistency in design quality and presentation standards.
- Review project designs for functionality, creativity, and profitability.
