Overview

As the COA Product and Insights Manager at Wiley, you lead market intelligence, portfolio analytics and competitive insights to guide product strategy and commercial positioning. Youโ€™ll build scalable datasets, dashboards and AI-assisted workflows, partnering across IP, Product, Commercial and Scientific teams to ground decisions in robust evidence. You translate analysis into strategic recommendations and help identify opportunities for asset optimization and partnerships.

This role combines hands-on analysis with cross-functional leadership to shape the COA portfolio and its impact for customers and the business.

Responsibilities
  • Lead market intelligence and competitive analysis across the COA market, tracking offerings, pricing, regulatory developments and trends
  • Evaluate Wiley's COA portfolio against external demand signals to identify gaps and opportunities for acquisition, development or repositioning
  • Translate market and portfolio analysis into clear recommendations for product roadmap, instrument prioritisation, partnerships and positioning
  • Build and maintain datasets, dashboards and analytical tooling with reproducible outputs, applying AI-assisted workflows where valuable
  • Benchmark competitor pricing, packaging and positioning to inform pricing and go-to-market decisions
  • Collaborate with IP & Licensing, Product Delivery, Product, Commercial and Scientific teams to ensure insight informs cross-functional decisions
  • surface emerging market and regulatory signals and contribute to thought leadership where commercially useful
  • Support data-driven decision making through cross-functional partnership and clear communication
Key requirements
  • Five or more years of progressive experience in product management, market intelligence, business analysis, commissioning, research or similar analytical role
  • Strong analytical capability with experience in structured and unstructured data and synthesising diverse sources
  • Hands-on experience with SQL or Python and familiarity with AI-assisted analytical workflows
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Proven track record translating analysis into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders
  • Curiosity and self-direction in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and ability to influence without formal authority
  • Good judgement to prioritise high-leverage work and manage competing priorities
  • Ability to travel ~10โ€“15% per year
