Client Accountant

Overview

In this role you will manage financial reporting across a portfolio of properties for a growing property organisation in Birmingham. You will produce timely reports, support cash management, and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. The position offers hybrid working, development opportunities, and exposure to Yardi, making it ideal for advancing a property finance career.

• Manage financial reporting for a portfolio of properties and clients
• Produce accurate, timely financial reports by deadlines
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, tenants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Respond to account queries and provide financial analysis as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data
• Process and review accounting transactions with internal controls
• Monitor client funding positions and support cash management
• Oversee rent, service charge, rates, and other property-related payments
• Review property expenditure with surveyors and facilities managers to resolve queries
• Perform cash and bank reconciliations across multiple property accounts
• Attend client meetings and support delivery of a high-quality finance service

• Experience in a property, real estate, or property management environment
• Strong accounting knowledge and financial reporting experience
• Yardi experience is highly desirable
• Client accounting or service charge accounting experience beneficial but not essential
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
